Introduction to Duy Tan University
Located in the heart of Da Nang city, on the Pacific coast with year-round sunshine, Duy Tan University is growing with the city with the aspiration to innovate towards modernity. Established on November 11, 1994 under Decision No. 666/TTg of the Prime Minister, Duy Tan University is the first and largest private university in the Central region, providing multi-level, multi-disciplinary, and multi-field training.
With practical and effective steps in teaching and learning, after nearly 25 years of construction and development, Duy Tan University has recruited about 94,000 graduate students, postgraduate students, undergraduates, and students; training and providing highly qualified human resources for society with nearly 57,000 masters, engineers, architects, and bachelors. The training majors at Duy Tan University are quite diverse such as: Information Technology, Business Administration, Foreign Languages, Tourism, Electronics, Construction, Architecture, Medicine, Pharmacy and Social Sciences including Literature - Journalism, Multimedia Communications, International Relations, Tourism Culture and Economic Law. Duy Tan graduates quickly find jobs with a 94% employment rate after graduation.

With the motto of “standing on the shoulders of giants” to improve itself, Duy Tan University has cooperated with prestigious universities in the US such as Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - one of the top 4 universities in Information Technology in the US (according to U.S. News 2017); Pennsylvania State University - one of the top 50 schools in Economics - Business Administration in the US (according to U.S. News 2017); and California State University at Fullerton - the largest school in the California State University system and Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo (CSU - CalState) - one of the top 5 schools in the US in training in Architecture - Construction. Not stopping at “importing” advanced programs, Duy Tan also created new turning points in the cooperation process by sending students to study abroad and obtain international degrees. Since 2010, Duy Tan University has officially launched the 2+2 study abroad programs (first 2 years in Duy Tan and the next 2 years in the US), 1+1+2 (first 1 year in Duy Tan and the next 3 years in the US) and 3+1 (first 3 years in Duy Tan and the next 1 year in Singapore or the UK). In particular, in 2017, Duy Tan University created a new milestone in the Central region when it officially signed an agreement with Troy University and Keuka College (USA), providing opportunities for Vietnamese students to study right at home to obtain international degrees in the following majors: Business Administration, Information Technology, Hotel Management, and Financial Management. This is also one of the important steps to improve the training quality of Duy Tan University. From a small initial capital, from a lack of all aspects of facilities, schools... after nearly 25 years of construction and development, Duy Tan University has built a large team of lecturers in both quantity and quality. Many PhDs and Masters working at Duy Tan University have graduated from prestigious schools at home and abroad (such as in the US, Russia, France, Germany, Canada, Korea, Belgium, etc.)
Nearly 25 years of construction and development with many ups and downs, Duy Tan University has always been worthy of the trust and trust of the Party, the State, as well as the whole society. For many consecutive years, the University has been honored to receive many titles, certificates of merit and noble awards from the President, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Education and Training and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City. With many notable strengths in training and research activities, on February 20, 2017, Duy Tan University received the Certificate of Education Quality Accreditation issued by the Center for Education Quality Accreditation. In the coming time, Duy Tan will continue to accredit the industry according to national and international standards; the school strives to be in the Top 300 universities in Asia (according to the rankings of Time Higher Education).
